Just call me a free-range woman!
My writing career started in high school when I was the feature writer for my school newspaper. It was the 60’s, and there was a lot going on. I really wanted to be a serious writer and compose heart-rendering, soul-searching, gut-wrenching essays that were going to change the world. I got as far as the first sentence. For some reason, crazy ideas and hilarious thoughts would instantly come to my mind, and the next thing I knew I was writing funny stuff and rolling on the floor laughing at myself and my now not-so-serious essay. What could I say – it’s a gift.
It still happens today. I have a hard time writing anything serious, but that’s okay because I’ve accepted my lot in life and I’ve had many stories, essays and yes, even books, published under the humor category. It’s how I roll. Here are some things about me:
I like to write and blog about my deaf dog Zoey,

My kids and grandkids,

Especially my son, Matthew

My Texas family,

My Colorado family,

My friends,

My classmates,

My beautiful home state of Colorado,

My hobbies,

My travels,

My hometown of Louisville, Colorado,

My favorite bottle of wine,

How I look on Monday mornings,

My philosophy,

And life in general. Or my life in general. So, welcome to my world – the world of a Free-Range Woman!
